It comes down to one mineral. Liquid Strength is built on a higher concentrate of pure magnesium carbonate (MgCO3), the same active mineral elite climbers and lifters have trusted for decades. MgCO3 is hygroscopic, meaning it actively pulls moisture off your skin and binds it, which keeps your grip dry under load. Unlike the calcium carbonate in school chalk, magnesium carbonate doesn't dissolve in sweat, so it absorbs moisture without ever turning slick.

Our story

Three friends, one Leeds gym, a better chalk

Liquid Strength started in 2024, dreamed up by three friends and training partners at Ultraflex Gym in Leeds. Frustrated by the lack of a genuinely good liquid chalk on the market, Ollie, Dan and Charlie set out to make one that would work for athletes across every sport.

They began with a high-concentrate magnesium carbonate formula, tested it hard with real athletes, and brought "Ice White" to market. The coloured chalks "Blue Thunder" and "Pink Lightning" followed soon after, carrying all the performance of Ice White with a bit more personality.
